Dr. Ruth Brandt, M.D.

Dr. Ruth Brandt (Spagnuolo) attended undergraduate school at De Pauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and Aberdeen University in Scotland. She graduated in 1986 with a BA in Chemistry. She then completed four years of cancer research at Washington University in St. Louis and Sydney, Australia, and applied to medical school. She received her MD from Michigan State University in East Lansing in 1994.

Dr. Brandt's residency was spent at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center, now Spectrum Blodgett. She became board certified in 2004. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (medical honor society) and a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Brandt's specialties include obstetrics, gynecology, menopause, contraception and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Brandt's personal interests include her family: three girls and a wonderfully supportive husband, biking, cross country skiing, kayaking and sewing.
