Dr. Michael Bennett, M.D.

Dr. Michael Bennett attended undergraduate school at Michigan State University. He graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, receiving his Medical Degree.

Dr. Bennett's residency was spent at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center, now known as Spectrum Blodgett. He is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy, and the American Fertility Society. He has received the Teacher of the Year award six times.  Dr. Bennett also performs the Essure permanent birth control procedure, endometrial ablation and other procedures in the office.

Dr. Bennett is experienced in da Vinci robotic surgery for hysterectomy , fibroid removal and prolapse repair, leaving patients with minimal pain, scarring and recovery time.

He is one of twenty-five gynecologic training physicians for Intuitive Surgical's da Vinci Surgical System.  These physicians from around the country have combined experience exceeding 5,000 cases have been chosen for their excellence in patient outcomes, as well as their dedication to assisting new da Vinci surgeons through their initial case series. When not working, Dr. Bennett enjoys sailing, biking, gardening, traveling, and canoeing.
