Here's an update from Dr. Hiemenga to our patients...

I have almost completed the first year of a 2 year fellowship training program in Clinical Medical Genetics through the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital System. I plan to return to Grand Rapids after completion of the program June 30, 2011. I will see a full life spectrum of ages from prenatal to geriatrics. This will include families with inherited genetic, metabolic, and cancer conditions.

I wanted to say hi to all my patients and to all the staff. I miss everyone. Virginia drivers can be scary on snow. However it was sunny and 70s there this weekend while we were in Michigan visiting.
