
Dr. Douglas VanDrie, M.D. Dr. Douglas VanDrie attended undergraduate school at Calvin College, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He received his Medical Degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. His residency was spent at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center, part of Spectrum Health. He is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), American Society of Reproductive Surgeons (ASRM), and the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and International Urogynecological Association (IUGA), Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology (SUFU) among other groups. Dr. Douglas Van Drie specializes in diagnosis and treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, chronic pelvic pain and interstitial cystitis. He is known in the physician community for assisting in development of the newest devices to treat prolapse and incontinence in women. "My philosophy is to resolve a medical problem with the least invasive approach, whether surgically, medically, or through rehabilitation. Resolution of urinary control problems is attainable with our new technology and comprehensive therapeutic approach. Our team is involved with the newest research and techniques for correction of prolapse and urinary control problems." Dr. Van Drie is involved in training physicians nationally and internationally. He also enjoys teaching a masters surgery course where physicians from around the United States come to learn the newest surgical techniques that they can bring home to their own communities. When not working Dr. Van Drie spends time with his large international family and enjoying various outdoor activities. |
