Dr. Adam Blickley and Dr. Brooke Bollin-Richards participated in a surgical mission trip to the central Yucatan of Mexico in March 2010. At a small clinic in Xochempich, they screened patients and performed gynecologic surgical procedures from D&C's to hysterectomies. 

This has been an ongoing and yearly mission trip for the last seven years, in affiliation with Sunshine Community Church in Grand Rapids, MI. Additionally, community outreach through health education was taught to approximately 80 women as a clinic outreach to another small town near Xochempich. Nursing students from Hope College have also been involved and participated in lectures and  teaching of the local nurses at the clinic.
