We currently have flu vaccine available to all of our patients. The office will bill your insurance for the vaccine. We do not expect a shortage of vaccine this year (as in years past).

Questions about the vaccine?  Read What YOU Need to Know About the Flu Vaccine article by Jane Thiel, APRN, WHNP-BC , Women's LifeStyle Magazine, Decemer 2012.

GETTING THE VACCINE

  •  If you have an upcoming appointment -- Plan to get your flu shot while you are here.
  •  Walk-Ins-- Although we welcome our patients to walk in for a flu shot, it is more time-efficient for you as well as our staff if you call ahead. Please call (616) 588-1200 prompt 2 to schedule.

PLEASE RESPECT OUR EXPECTING PATIENTS! If you feel sick, please stay home! A rescheduled appointment is better than passing your illness to a pregnant or nursing mother who is at our office.

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the American Medical Association and the CDC all recommend everyone over the age of six months be vaccinated against flu viruses.

*Women who are pregnant are strongly advised to receive the flu vaccine.
